Referee Position

JOB DESCRIPTION
SportsMix is the first sports & social league in Albuquerque that professionally organizes a variety of sports for active, hard working adults in ABQ.  We are looking for part-time referees for our sports leagues.   Successful candidates will assist the company in helping our games run smoothly, while reminding our members of the charity and social aspect of our leagues. 
Responsibilities and duties include:

• Manage all on-field logistics including: timely start and completion of games
• Referee Games
• Set-up court/field
• Resolve on-court/on-field disputes
• Work with the on and off site SportsMix Staff to improve the quality of our leagues
• Learn SportsMix Rules
• Attend referee training session
• Promote SportsMix Leagues

REQUIRED

• Ideal candidates should be active, hard working individuals living in the ABQ metro area who have a tremendous interest in the sport applying for and familiarity/experience playing and/or refereeing
• Applicants must be willing to commit to an entire season
• Understanding of specific sport and rules
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills
• Ability to handle conflict and be diplomatic in all situations that arise
• Be able to represent SportsMix and our charitable and social focus

PREFERRED
Experience in refereeing
