Kids Instructor Position

JOB DESCRIPTION
SportsMix KIDS, an ALL-INCLUSIVE league for KIDS, professionally organizes a variety of sports specifically for KIDS in ABQ.  We are looking for part-time Instructors for our sports leagues.   Successful candidates will assist the company in helping teach the basic fundamentals of sports to children and help our practices/games run smoothly.  Responsibilities and duties include:

• Teach basic sport fundamentals
• Manage all on-field logistics including: timely start and completion of games
• Referee Games
• Set-up court/field
• Work with the on and off site SportsMix Staff to improve the quality of our leagues
• Learn SportsMix philosophy, program, and Rules
• Attend instructor training session
• Promote SportsMix Leagues

REQUIRED

• Ideal candidates should have a strong desire in helping children learn and be successful in sports and who have a tremendous interest in the sport applying for and familiarity/experience playing and/or coaching
• Positive, motivational, patient
• Applicants must be willing to commit to an entire season
• Pass a background screening
• Understanding of specific sport and rules
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills
• Ability to handle conflict and be diplomatic in all situations that arise
• Be able to represent SportsMix and our charitable and social focus

PREFERRED

• Experience in teaching, coaching, instructing children
• Experience playing in the sport applying for
